As the itinerary is tailor-made, we were able to experience and see so much, and stay in some beautiful hotels we might have missed if we were just following the tourist trail. Our driver Bassel was extremely kind, knowledgeable and good-humoured and it was a real pleasure to talk to hear about his country first-hand. All in all we had the most relaxing and enjoyable holiday I have enjoyed in a while, more than needed with Covid!

Beautiful Sri Lanka - Wild life, birds, scenery in this beautiful country.

From the beautiful mountains, to the ancient history of world unesco heritage sites, to the jungles and waterfalls, and the pristine palm lined beaches, Sri Lanka was stunning, gorgeous, welcoming, and delicious! Such an amazing country to be in! I love the friendly people, yummy foods, sacred cultures and amazing lands! Just incredible! Wonderful time in Sri Lanka Sep 2022 - My 14year old son and I had a fantastic nine day trip exploring Sri Lanka. We climbed Adam’s Peak (a genuine highlight - get there 45mins before sunrise, not for... read more sunrise), visited Sigiriya (another highlight), stayed in a jungle treehouse, did other climbs and hikes, saw wild elephants, monkeys and other wildlife, ate magnificently and finished up with a couple of days at the beach on the south coast. Amba Estate was a perfect place to stay in Ella with excellent food and lots to do for a father and son.
We both felt safe the whole trip (the popular media in Australia painted a pretty turbulent picture which we didn’t personally experience), people were incredibly friendly and helpful and both Jagath and Basil (our driver for the week and a complete gentleman) were just brilliant in helping us decide where to go (and where not to) - even including finding a TV to watch the AFL grand final in a jungle village near where we were staying.
Really glad we came to Sri Lanka with Luxurious Lanka.
