As the itinerary is tailor-made, we were able to experience and see so much, and stay in some beautiful hotels we might have missed if we were just following the tourist trail. Our driver Bassel was extremely kind, knowledgeable and good-humoured and it was a real pleasure to talk to hear about his country first-hand. All in all we had the most relaxing and enjoyable holiday I have enjoyed in a while, more than needed with Covid!

Jagath answered every email and questions quickly and whatever requests I asked, he delivered. I spent 4 days in Maldives and it was awesome! I wish I had stayed longer. The staff at Paradise Island Resort were very helpful, the resort was clean, but best of all the turquoise waters and white sand made all the difference. It’s indeed a place to chill and relax. I spent 11 days in Sri Lanka and the country went back on lockdown before I got there extended for few more days while I was there so everything was closed including Cultural sites and National Parks. Jagath went above and beyond and went through 17 departments in the Tourist Board to get me a Special Permission to open up the Cultural Sites Sigiriya and Polunnaruwa and I was able to see these places unique to Sri Lanka. I wasn’t able to get into the National Parks but my driver and tour guide Mr Basil is quick to spot birds, animals, and plants and name them, both common and scientific names, knows his dates and history, he’s amazing! The staffs in all hotels were all very friendly and helpful, and since I’m the only guest in some of the the hotels, I got a little more of the Sri Lankan hospitality than normal. Although I have not been able to see a few places, I got the most of what I can get in a country on lockdown. thanks to Jagath and Mr Basil. I have a new appreciation to Sri Lanka and it’s people and I can only imagine what other amazing experiences I can have if the country is not on lockdown. I 100% recommended Luxurious Sri Lanka if you’re planning to visit this country, you won’t get disappointed.

This country is breathtakingly beautiful and the locals are wonderfully welcoming. We packed a lot into our trip and will leave with great memories for ever. We got a fantastic look at the country, including ancient ruins at Sigiriya and Anuradapura, culture and arts at Kandy, and pristine beaches along the eastern and southern coasts. Our driver always knew the best places to go and knew the country backwards and forwards, and his knowledge and expertise made the trip more enjoyable for us.

We took our trip in July/August 2022 as the country was dealing with political and economic difficulties - even so we felt safe and comfortable the entire time. Locals were overwhelmingly friendly and happy to see people visiting the country, and the reduced tourism meant we got to have breathtaking historical sites and landscapes practically all to ourselves. Contrary to expectations, this time was perhaps one of the best times to visit as a tourist.

I’m hoping I can visit again some day!
